Instra Corporation, a leading global domain name provider, is pleased to announce that it has been listed as one of the few overseas partners of CNNIC (China Internet Network Information Center), the state non-profit organization which operates the .CN domain registry services.
Previously, overseas enterprises that showed an interest in becoming a .CN domain Registrar, were required to go through Neustar, which acted as the exclusive gateway to foreign registrars of CNNIC’s. Late last year, CNNIC was determined to open more opportunities to selected international domain Registrars. These Registrars were granted direct access to CNNIC, the top level .CN domain operator.
Becoming an accredited CNNIC partner is further evidence of Instra’s commitment to delivering ccTLD domain names to the world. In addition to this achievement, Instra has once again been voted the top registrar of SGNIC (Singapore domains) in terms of net registration for the month of December 2008. It also won the “2008 Best Overseas Partner Award” from HKDNR (Hong Kong domains) for the third consecutive year.
