time December 6th, 2011 by author phill

Global domain name registrar Instra Corporation has attracted one of the industry’s top players to their team; marking yet another leap forward for the fast-growing cutting-edge company. Former VeriSign Senior Channel Manager Samantha Frida has sparked controversy by aligning herself with Instra CEO Tony Lentino; a man she describes as a ‘creative genius’.

With academic achievements spanning two continents and industry experience including key management positions within the largest and most successful companies in the world, Samantha Frida has chosen to merge her expertise with the team at Instra Corporation – a move that has set industry experts talking.

‘I have known Tony Lentino for a very long time now, and his vision never ceases to amaze me,’ explained Frida in a recent interview. ‘Tony is a true creative genius. The passion and energy of the Instra creative team drives the company into unchartered territory – they are leaders in the ccTLD world, the technology used to power their systems is untouchable, and that’s what I’m drawn to.  I will be managing Instra’s strategic partnerships and global registries, and I feel this is my chance to be a part of something groundbreaking, something huge. I am extremely excited to be a part of their vision.’

Instra Corporation is continuing to grow, attracting highly respected industry professionals from across the globe. CEO Tony Lentino accredits this growth to one key attribute: a vision to succeed.

‘The internet industry is in a constant state of flux,’ says Lentino. ‘Instra Corporation is creative to the core, and this is what allows us to stay two steps ahead of the information technology frontline. We are designing systems now that will be used in years to come; we are creating technology that other IT companies have dismissed as an impossibility – and that is what’s attracting the attention of industry high-flyers such as Samantha Frida.

My vision – and it is one shared by my entire team – is that we will pioneer a new level of communication through technology; opening the floodgates of possibility and creating a truly global community.

We welcome the addition of Samantha Frida to our team, and look forward to utilising her extensive experience in the years to come.

FREE .Brand Package by Instra for Top Level Domains

time December 6th, 2011 by author phill

Instra Corporation, a global domain brand protection company, has launched its gTLD flagship website, http://www.newtlds.com. In a bid to attract the premium top level domain market, Instra CEO Tony Lentino is unveiling targeted TLD promotions in an aggressive new marketing campaign.

“Our initiative is to offer free or reduced-cost Instra application processes for those companies who wish to apply for a .Brand TLD through http://www.newtlds.com,” explained Lentino.

While the approval of generic top-level domains (gTLDs) by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has been causing excitement among IT aficionados worldwide, those companies with global branding exposure are now at their most vulnerable, according to Lentino.

“NewTLDs is our answer to the growing hype surrounding the new top-level domain movement. We are targeting .Brand TLDs in particular at the moment, as we strongly believe that international companies need to secure and protect their global online identities. Although current ICANN TLD application protocol indicates a significant brand protection strategy, it is still a risk that well-recognized company brands could become the target of parasitic enterprise from within the domain industry.”

Instra has built an enviable reputation in global corporate domain management and is excited about the next phase of development and strategic partnerships.

“The thrust of our marketing campaign for newtlds.com is simple,” says Lentino. “Our domain industry experts, while offering an attractive application pricing package which is completely transparent, will guide all applicants through the ICANN process, but also to offer a unique level of corporate after-care service.

“Instra’s pricing is extremely competitive and upfront, our technical and industry experience is without equal, and we intend to make our application process an intensely secure and actively client-focused package.”

ICANN approves new gTLD program

time June 27th, 2011 by author admin

ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), who are the governing authority on domain names, have decided to approve a new program that will allow businesses and individuals to apply for their own top level domain name.

This means that successful applicants will be able to own and maintain a gTLD (generic Top Level Domain) like .bank or .food rather than going through one of the many existing registries to purchase a domain.  Successful applicants will have the ability to run their own registry.

The decision was almost unanimous with only one ICANN board member voting against the proposal and another choosing to abstain.

We at Instra are happy to announce that we will be assisting customers in applying for their own gTLD. For more information about the gTLD application procedure please refer to our new gTLD page.

.XXX is now even closer to launch

time April 14th, 2011 by author phill

ICM Registry, which are the regulatory authority for the .XXX name space, are now in the process of finalizing the .XXX policy framework, for the purpose of officially commencing the Sunrise Launch of the .XXX domain name.

While we have not been informed of any any official time frame, we are hopeful that the .XXX name space will be ready to launch within a few weeks time. Prior to the commencement of this launch, it is our intention to launch a dedicated web site to manage all orders for the Internet’s newest global top level domain (gTLD).

Although the policy is not yet finalized, it is expected that ICM Registry will adapt both a registry model that will allow the registration of adult industry domain name applications, as well as option for trademark holders to register their brand on a block list.  It is expected that this blocking mechanism will allow trademark holders to permanently protect their brand from registration in the .XXX name space.

We expect to launch www.xxxtld.com real soon.
